The proposed Startup Incubation Centre is envisioned to provide support to the startups working in digital health, home care, med-tech, healthcare delivery etc. The center will extend support to the healthcare start-ups and students in pilot project, prototypes, and laboratories on technology sharing or similar model. The center shall also collaborate with the premiere incubation centers across the country such as HITC-IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur to promote collaborative efforts in interdisciplinary research and exploring pipeline of start-ups. The GCIIMT is proposed to offer all kinds of innovative MedTech programs including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma & certificate course and fellowship levels. The center will work closely with the Indian institutes like IITs to design its courses that provide students technical knowledge, expertise, and transferable skills. The training programs will be covering subjects like Biomedical Informatics, Medical Technology, Medical imaging, Biomedical Informatics, Healthcare Innovation, etc. With higher emphasis on practical management skills than theories, and innovation-incubation being the epicenter, it will ensure that students have the practical experience to make an impact in the field of healthcare technology.
